Football Partnerships is pleased to report the successful delivery of another top-level networking event. KICKOFF: MANCHESTER, hosted at the Cheshire Conference Centre in Stockport, Greater Manchester, last Thursday, 27 August, went well beyond 90 minutes and needed a golden goal four hours in to see a result.
Delegates, including representatives of Manchester United FC, were treated to a world-class freestyle football performance by Oli Hayes, a presentation by Football Partnerships’ founder Alexander Kotler and an evening of mixing and mingling. Guests enjoyed a buffet of hors d’oeuvres and branded takeaway bags filled with promotional materials and flyers, as well as complimentary copies of Soccerex Business magazine.
According to post-event surveys, an overwhelming majority of delegates reported that KICKOFF: MANCHESTER was ‘excellent’ or ‘fair value for money’, that the venue was ‘fantastic’ and that they made ‘useful connections with the delegates at the event’.
Football Partnerships is also pleased to have been able to make a contribution to our local responsibility partner, the Stockport County FC Community Trust Foundation. The organization will receive a donation on behalf of Football Partnerships and ACROBAT Consulting and Marketing LTD, owned and operated by Football Partnerships Networking Captain for Greater Manchester Adrian Stores. The Community Trust has also been connected to our lead contact at Grassroot Soccer, Football Partnerships’ Official Responsibility Partner.
Whilst the vast majority of respondents reported their satisfaction with KICKOFF: MANCHESTER, Football Partnerships recognizes that there is room for improvement. Thus, in the future, delegates will enjoy an in-depth presentation by Alexander Kotler as well as more structure to facilitate additional networking opportunities. Football Partnerships will also consider enlarging the guest list to accommodate more delegates, and to ensure that last-minute cancellations and no-shows minimally impact the experience.
Thanks are due to our partners for KICKOFF: MANCHESTER, including ACROBAT Consulting and Marketing LTD, AFL Architects, Cheshire Conference Centre, the Freestyle Football Federation (F3), Holiday Inn Manchester Airport, Jennings Design Associates, Mitchell Charlesworth, Promotions 81 LTD, Rogue Robot Creative Media Services and The Studio.
Football Partnerships is now organizing KICKOFF: ATLANTA on Thursday, 19 November, as well as other top-level networking and learning events in other US and internationally cities.
Please look for updates in the coming weeks online and via the Football Partnerships newsletter.

Football Partnerships is pleased to report that KICKOFF: MANCHESTER was a success on all accounts. Look for more details in Wednesday’s member newsletter and under the Offsides section.

With just over six weeks before KICKOFF: MANCHESTER the pitch is manicured and trimmed, the players are loose and ready, the vendors have hot meat pies and match-day magazines for sale and fans are waiting at the turnstiles to fill the stadium to capacity.
Metaphors aside, Adrian Stores, Football Partnerships Networking Captain for Manchester, has done a massive amount of preparation that we must simply wait for 27 August to arrive – that is, for those who have already confirmed their attendance.
