Financial struggles and the poor economy have plagued Brad Friedel’s Premier Soccer Academies in Lorain so hard that most of its operations have been suspended.

PSA, founded by Bay Village native Friedel in 2007 as the first full-scholarship and nonprofit soccer academy in the country, will have only its fieldhouse in use during the winter and spring.
