Dutchman Han Berger has been appointed Australian soccer’s new national technical director. He takes over from Robert Baan, who is retiring after two years in the role.
Berger, 58, joins Football Federation Australia on a four-year deal from Dutch premier league club De Graafschap, where he has been director of soccer for four years.
He has coached Dutch premier league clubs, the Dutch Olympic team and in Japan’s J-League.
