The new football stadium for New York’s Giants and Jets won’t carry the name of Allianz SE after protests by Jewish groups that the company once insured Auschwitz.

The New Meadowlands Stadium LLC, a joint venture building the stadium for the two National Football League teams, said in a statement that it’s ending negotiations with Europe’s biggest insurer. The move comes after protests from groups, including the Anti-Defamation League.
