A networking community for soccer industry professionals

Rapid Growth, Deliberate Measure

Expansion and progress continue to underscore developments at Football Partnerships.

Three weeks after announcing the launching of the Football Partnerships Network (FPN), five cities are now active with several more in line – pending the interview and appointment of candidates for Networking Captains.

“I’m immensely pleased with the members of Football Partnerships who have stepped forward for consideration,” said Alex Kotler, Founder of Football Partnerships, of the Networking Captain candidates. “Their initiative alone is impressive, not to mention their credentials.”

With New York, San Francisco, Manchester (England) and Milan (Italy) already represented, Football Partnerships appointed its first ambassador north of the US border this week. Alan Gould, Executive Director of Guelph Soccer in Ontario, Canada, will serve as Networking Captain (NC) for the Toronto region. Additional NCs are still being sought for Toronto’s sister cities, Chicago, Illinois and Ann Arbor, Michigan, as well as throughout North America and Western Europe.

What can members expect from the FPN?

The Football Partnerships Network is designed to activate membership around the world, making its impact felt at the local level. The initiative is starting first in North America and Western Europe and will broaden from there.

How exactly will the FPN activate?

Football Partnerships is appointing Networking Captains – qualified, responsible individuals who have a passion for their work in football and a desire to have a positive effect on the local community.

Each NC, once appointed, will facilitate the organization and execution of top-level networking events in his or her region. As mentioned above, the first of these cities will be Manchester, Milan, New York, San Francisco and Toronto (given solely in alphabetical order).

When will FPN events be held?

The scheduling of events depends upon the availability of the NC, Alex Kotler, who will preside over and deliver presentations at events, and the commitment of locally-based members of Football Partnerships.

While no dates are currently set, Alex and the NCs are hard at work identifying possible dates, venues and partners – both commercial and charitable. It is anticipated that the first series of events will be scheduled for this summer, with others following in early fall.

What will the events consist of?

Football Partnerships is interested in launching top-level – yet feasible and cost-effective – networking activities. Under consideration are speakers, panels, an executive dinner series and informal mixers.

The majority of regions will begin with informal mixers to bring the local community together to meet, become acquainted, and establish relationships with their area Networking Captain and Alex Kotler.

New York, having marked the unofficial start of the FPN in January with KICKOFF 2009, will remain one step ahead of other cities, giving members in outlying areas an indication of what is in store for the future.

What are the benefits of volunteering to become a Networking Captain (NC)?

Along with earning privileged (free) access to all Football Partnerships functions, NCs will enjoy the prestige and proper recognition of which they are entitled for helping to activate the regions of the FPN.

Those already selected will attest to the demands of Alex Kotler, who sets high standards. These model individuals, though, are up to the task and deliver when Football Partnerships calls upon them.

Are you such an individual?
